Superintendent evaluation

In accordance with Policy No. 312 Performance Assessment of Superintendent, the Superintendent will be evaluated based on performance standards as agreed upon by the Board of Directors and the Superintendent. The policy requires that these performance standards be posted on the district website.  They are as follows:

  STANDARD #1 Student Growth and Achievement:  A superintendent is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by the school community.


  STANDARD #2 Organizational Leadership:  A superintendent is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by advocating, nurturing and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional development.

  STANDARD #3 District Operations and Financial Management:  A superintendent is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by ensuring management of the organization, operation, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.

  STANDARD #4 Communications and Community Relations:  A superintendent is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by collaborating with families and community members, responding to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilizing community resources.     

  STANDARD #5 Human Resource Management:  A superintendent is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by acting with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner.    

  STANDARD #6 Professionalism:  A superintendent is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by understanding, responding to, and influencing the larger political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context.

 

             The policy also states that upon completion of the annual performance assessment, the date of the assessment and whether or not the Superintendent has met the agreed upon objective performance standards shall be posted on the district website.
