WELLNESS COMMITTEE

The Brockway Area School District Wellness Committee is committed to establishing and maintaining a school environment that promotes health and well-being. By providing structure and support for staff, administration, students and families, we hope to ensure that all schools within the Brockway Area School District are equipped with the necessary tools to promote healthy and active lifestyles within our school community. The next scheduled meeting of the committee is March 28, 2023 at 2:20PM in the Board Room located in the Business Office. The public are welcome to attend. GOALS

Assist in the successful promotion, launching and participation of physical and nutrition initiatives

Implement meaningful partnership in the Brockway School District community

Educate parents and guardians on the relationship between student health and academic performance and address the need for consistent health messages between the home and school environment

To decrease the proportion of obesity in the Brockway Area School District

To increase the participation of exercise and physical health in the District
