TITLE IX INFORMATION
No person in the United States shall, on a basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.
The Brockway Area School District is committed to the maintenance of a safe, positive learning environment for all students that is free from discrimination by providing all students course offerings, counseling, assistance, services, employment, athletics and extracurricular activities without any form of discrimination, including Title IX sexual harassment. Discrimination is prohibited at or in the course of district-sponsored programs or activities, including transportation to or from school or school-sponsored activities.
Any person may report sex discrimination, including sexual harassment, in person, by mail, by telephone, or by electronic mail, using the contact information below, or by any other means that results in the Title IX Coordinator receiving the verbal or written report.

District Title IX Coordinator and Compliance Officer: The district Title IX coordinator/compliance officer develops materials and oversees consistent professional development across the district.

Investigator: Building Principal
The investigator provides written notice to the involved individual and their parents, gathers and reviews evidence, prepares investigative reports, and provides opportunities for the involved parties to review and respond to the response.
Decision Maker: Superintendent
The decision-maker reviews the evidence and responses and provides a decision.
Appeal Decision Maker: Board of Directors/Solicitor
The appeal decision maker reviews the evidence and responses of the appeal and provides a decision.
